Machine Restorations and Woodworking Tools

One of my many hobbies is restoring old woodworking machines. This gallery shows some of the machines that I've restored.

Most of the machines have been stripped down to bare metal, casting imperfections filled, primed, painted and polished, new bearings added and electrical wire replaced.

If you enjoy old woodworking machines please visit the Old WoodWorking Machine.org forum and their sister site Old WoodWorking Machines.com for more great restorations, 1000s of pictures and dirty paper (old manuals).

Thanks for looking and I would love to read your comments.

Shane These pieces, as well as the Photography is stunning. It all shows such depth of commitment on all levels, especially the patience to follow through on these projects. I love the photos, with a special fondness for the bird shots. I have done many pencil graphics with birds as subjects. Really great. I look forward to speaking with you about all of this. Hi Scott,

There is usually two ways to adjust the blade so it's parallel with the miter slots. Some saws the trunnions are mounted to the base/stand/frame of the saw so ya need to just loosen the bolts (4 usually) that attach the table top to the base/stand/frame and then rotate the table to make your adjustments.

Other saws the trunnions are mounted to the underside of the table top. If this is the case then ya just loosen the bolts that hold the trunnion is place and then rotate the saw assembly until its parallel with the slots.

Good luck,
Shane

Hi - I have a question I hope you can help me with. I have a Boice Crane Table Saw; I think it is a model 2500 - at least that is the number on the under side of the table. The blade is not parallel to the miter gauge slots and I can not figure out a way to adjust it. Can you offer any advice or resources for information?
Thanks,
Scott
